A dog a day… Joey

Todays’ dog is Joey, a little guy at Carson Animal Care center and he needs our help… now!

I’m an approximately 7 year old male chihuahua mix. I am not yet neutered. I have been at the Carson Animal Care Center since April 2, 2014. You can visit me at my temporary home at C217.

I’m a little snuggler and lover, ready to have a family to love.

This little guy’s time is running out, he needs a rescue or adopter soon!

A dog a day… Argo

Today’s dog is Argo, a sweet boy in northern California that needs a home.

This is Argo, he’s special and available for adoption. He is almost completely blind, has crazy-cute ears and does the most adorable head tilts.

He loves other dogs, enjoys snuggling on the couch and he gets around so well people who don’t know he’s blind almost never guess.

You can learn more about Argo from Chako Pit Bull Rescue and AdvocacyEmail adoptions@chako.org  if you’d like to meet 2 year old Argo.

Please share and network Argo using the hashtag #aDogaDay.

A dog a day… Spot

Today’s dog is Spot, he’s located at the Haven Humane Society in Redding, California.

My name is Spot. I am a good boy… I deserve love and a home, I try really hard to do everything right.

I am in this place called an animal Shelter. I am afraid no one will want me… I guess I look like I have something called “pit bull” in me, and they just walk right passed me. I wish I knew what “pit bull” was… maybe I can stop being it?

I don’t know how much longer they will have me here… there are so many new animals coming in, its like they are running out of room for me.

Please help…. if you want to be my family, come save me.

Spot is being networked via Save the Nor-Cal Shelter Dogs.

Please share and network Spot using the hashtag #aDogaDay.

A dog a day… Kelly

Today’s dog is Kelly, a sweet gal located in here in southern California.

Kelly is a one year old tan, female Chihuahua hit by a car in La Puente on April 23rd and brought to the Baldwin Park Shelter. Sadly her front right leg had to be amputated. This very sweet tripod is going to make a complete recovery according to the shelter’s veterinary staff – and will have no problem walking. She weighs in at 10 pounds, so she’s easy to carry too.

Kelly is super friendly and highly companionable – and we are hoping someone will step in and rescue her so she can get back to 100% in a clean and nurturing environment. Kelly will be a fantastic lapdog and indoor pet for an individual or family in any living situation.

You can see a video of Kelly on YouTube.

Kelly’s control number at the Baldwin Park Shelter is A4700466.

Please share and network Kelly using the hashtag #aDogaDay.

A dog a day… Sally

Today’s dog is Sally, a German Shepard located in Mission Viejo, California.

Hi my name is Sally. I was pulled from the county shelter after coming in as a stray.

It looks like I recently was a mommy but all my pups found homes and now its my turn! I am super duper smart and love learning! I would love nothing more than to snuggle up to you, love you, play with some toys  and be part of the family.

More information on Sally can be found on Petfinder or via the Pet Rescue Center

Please share and network Sally using the hashtag #aDogaDay.
